Thanksgiving in Sunnyvale

After Dad took his dose of cough medicine, we settled down to a delicious dinner (donated by the Gault Soup Kitchen). We enjoyed talking to the Folsom Davies Clan, Erica, Paige, and Laurie during the day. Helped us feel a part of the celebrations. Looking forward to seeing all your postings on your blogs. We're grateful to have a family that cares about us and for the technology that helps us keep in touch.

Friday the Last Day

Things have changed. The weather has gotten chilly and wind is blowing quite hard. The ship is rolling around and it's real fun walking around. We are sailing by Baja Calif, which we can see in the distance. The whole ship is packing up for diparture tomorrow AM. Aha.. the last big meal tonight - almost glad that part is going to be over. We're looking forward to seeing Laurie and Spencer tomorrow. We'll be home about 7:30 tomorrow night.

Tuesday Nov 17th - At Sea

Hi All,

Today we are at sea in beautiful weather. Tomorrow Cabo San Lucas. The pictures are from two great stops at Huetulco, Mex and Zihuatanejo (sp?) and Aculpulco - all great places and worth a trip back.

Erica: thanks for the report on Mom - 'preciate it, and yes! please book us through Ontario with you. Thanks again.

Hi to Ava and Spencer and Brennan and Lilah!

Laurie, we'll see you in San Diego on Saturday, the 21st. We get in about 7AM - will call you when we can get service. Love to all!

Saturday, Nov. 12

We're back! The ship's internet was down for a few days. One day was at sea, so we're showing photos of the towel animal and the pool. Another day in Costa Rica, we zip-lined through the cloud forest canopy. It was thrilling! Yesterday, we were in Antigua, Guatamala. Lovely! Today, Chiapas, Mexico. Still having fun.
Pete: we played shuffleboard today. Carol: we got your comment. Thanks! Paige: we'll send photos of food next time.
Love,
Myrna and Larry

Nov 6th to 9th

Nov 6th: Aruba! Very hot! Larry went to the beach with camera. Myrna went downtown before running back to the coolness of the Oosterdam.

Nov. 7th: A day at sea.

Nov. 8th: The big day! We got up at 5AM and went to the top-front of the ship to watch it enter the canal. It took until around 4PM to get through the canal, from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Amazing!

At Sea Today

Hi Everyone!

Half Moon Cay was our first stop (see beach photos above). We were tendered ashore to an island owned by Holland America - 7-1/2 miles long and 2-1/2 miles wide - with a perfect and beautiful beach. We spend most of the day in the turquoise water.

Second Day, the ship docked at Grand Turk Island and we took a taxi van into town. Not much there, other than a afew colorful souveneir shops (see photo) so we returned to the beach.

Today, we were at sea, which gave us time to figure out how to post photos and text. Larry got some great shots of birds visiting our ship (Kestrals?) We arrive in Aruba tomorrow morning.

Sailing the High Seas

We're having a great time in the warm waters. We left Grand Turk Island yesterday and now are having a full day at sea.

Second Day in the Water

Our first stop this Tuesday AM was at Half Bay Cay in the Bahamas. All is really well. I can't attach any pictures - still trying to figure out how to use these ship computers.
